Jason Bartlett?

Jason Bartlett had a good week for you Adam. 10 for 20 with a HR, 3B and two doubles. Not bad production from your #8 hitting shortstop.
It looks like I get to deal with him and your Weissguys three weeks in a row.

Easy Targets

Nate, your offense caught fire and kicked our (the Weissguys) geeky fantasy baseball blogging asses. Damn.

I need a catcher.

Anyone have an extra catcher sitting around? I have 2 backups and a AAA guy.

Depth Chart

So I might have a little too much time on my hands or am really getting into this Scoresheet league. I've created a depth chart on Microsoft Publisher. Let me know if you want me to email you the template.

AAA Catcher and AAA Pitcher

Like Jeff, I have some roster issues. All of my catchers are backups so this guy has gotten the call 8 times this year. He's hitting a mean .222 with a double! He is known more for his sound financial advice and his one-of-a-kind gold catcher's mask neck chain.

Don't get me started on his battery mate, AAA Pitcher..... his 18 ER in 16.2 IP just don't cut it.

Meet my relief ace, AAA Pitcher. Hell, he's also a key member of my starting rotation, too.

Anyone else think Russell Branyan's stance looks like John Olerud's?

Way to go, Thunder!

What a banner week, Todd -- you not only won some games, you even managed to go .500 for the week, a huge accomplishment for the Thunder organization. (Just asking -- is it something in the water down there?)

Thanks for the invite

Although not relavent to the league - I remember thinking the A's getting Ken Phelps was a good move....pre-Billy Beane-esque...

As for the league - like the Royals from last year it's too early to know how things will end up - but we can certainly see trends which we need to change for certain. In this type of league there isn't the big trade or chance to improve....other than better planning of line-ups rather than in-season pick-ups. I took the chance this year on some injury pitchers which probably my season is riding on. Trying to bounce some pitching depending on match-ups and streaks hopefully will help. Tried the double closer idea and it worked okay so far but too few chances to really know if it will work out for the entire year....and injuries always change how that plays out for the rest of the year. Just glad Cabrera fell to me along with Quentin - otherwise I'd be in a lot worse shape.

Relief Pitching for Offense

My offense is the worst assembled group of guys since the Ken Phelps-lead Mariners played in the Kingdome. I am wiling to part with a few more of my relief pitchers for position players. Let me know if you have interested in a deal.

Welcome

We are two weeks into the Scoresheet season and part of the fun is the trash talk between teams. Also, some of us are noticing some shortage or surplus players. I thought this would be a good way for all of us to keep in touch, talk some trash and discuss everything baseball.

Everyone has been invited to write and post on this site, but please let me know if you have any issues.
